Black Bird - Chapter 53

The cover.

Kyou's narration: "I can't express memories about my brother in one word. I did not spend much time with my brother when we were young. Our feelings aren't deep... it's due to 'that' isn't it?

... that is why i don't understand why my brother did those things. I didn't know about anything. I can only feel horror by taking one look at my brother whom looks similar to me. It's as horrifying as something unknown to an extend that i thought it will be great if i can run away alone.

... until i found something i want to protect." which is Misao and Kyou worked hard to overtake his brother which might have hurt Shou.

Kyou's narration: "I did not consider about those feelings. Opponents who are aiming for the same thing, his feelings. If i had considered (his feelings), i will be hindered by it. It is alright for use to turn our back against each other. It is impossible for us to accept each other. Before we knows it, this continues till the end like someone important entrusted us to making bonds till who's life comes to an end first or who is able to take who's life first....

... now is the time."
Shou: "Kyou! Kill me properly."
Some Tengu: "It's the back to life spell! It has already started!"
Fuzen: " Sis! Sis!"
Some voice from behind: "Kaede is not breathing, there is no way to stop the spell. Shou-dono is still alive!"
Kyou thinking to himself "Is Shou still considered as considered as being alive? Is Kaede incompetent with her skills? Is it still possible for me to use the same technique to stop all these. "
Some voice from behind: "I've not seen such things before. It's unpredictable!"

Everyone look at Shou as changes take place in his body.

Kyou: "Don't come near, don't get involved!"

Tengu: "It's no use. He's uncontrollable."

Some Tengu: "Kyou-sama! He's more than beyond control!"
Kyou: "Eight Tengu! Formation! Three of you (kids), form the three points for the seal!"
Three kids: "Yes! SEAL!"

Eight Tengu are putting their power together trying to seal Shou but Houki is still recovering from his injuries thus he can't take it an collapse. Misao stood there watching.

Shou turns around as though he knows that Misao is watching and he rans towards her.

and Misao opens up her arms and a voice scream: "MISAO!!!"

Misao hugs Shou in her arms.
Some Tengu: "He has calmed down. Princess has... Shou-sama... "

Shou's thoughts "I cannot forgive... taking away everything from me. Even a small part of Misao's heart, it's impossible to return to me. A strong feeling of defeat with a tiny feeling of being save. Misao is a good person, she saved me."

And at the same instance, Kyou slashes his sword across Shou's back. Shou turns around, stretching out his hand towards Kyou's.

Shou starts burning out.

Kyou's narration: "Scared, antipathy, sympathy, guilty, threatened, resignation and jealousy... impossible to describe in one word."

Misao stood behind Kyou.
Kyou: "It all started after he said he's aiming for you. He said that and that is why i'm here now. It's obvious it's Misao."

Misao: "Kyou and Shou-san.... shaped each other."

Back to the human world.
Misao: "I'm home."

Kyou: "Don't worry, i've released the spell on your parents so it's as though you've just gone out for a while and came back home."
Misao's mother: "Welcome home."
Misao: "Mom, Dad.. i'm home."
Kyou: "I'm sorry to have taking Misao out for such a long time."
Misao's father: "What time do you think it is now"
Misao's mother: "I'm sure you had an enjoyable date!" and Misao's mom stops for awhile.
Misao asked: "Why"
Misao's mother: "Nothing, it's just...

... it's like its been a long time since i last saw Misao's face. Am i thinking too much?"
Misao cries.
Misao's mother: "Why are you crying? What happened?"
Misao: "Um.... something very very...

... sad happened."

Finally it's the end of this very long arc. Shou died. I feel kinda sad for him.

Black Bird - Chapter 52

Continue from the previous chapter.

Misao sees a hand, suspected to be kyou's in front of her.

Seems like she is still able to feel Kyou's presence.

Misao: "No, this is not Kyou's
Sagami: "It's the right hand. Judging at it, we can't confirm that it's Kyou-sama's hand and there is no ring on the hand.
Misao: "If there is no ring, I don't believe it's Kyou's"

Suddenly Kyou came flying down, carrying with him someone who's injured with his hand chopped off.
It's the previous head!

The previous head: "I heard from the God of Dogs and came back but it has already started. My heart skipped abit seeing my in mature sons. Luckily i was able to protect Kyou."
Kyou: "You've done something unnecessary. Don't be a nuisance. This is between me and Shou. Even if i'm worng, i don't need help from parents."
Previous head: "It's not parents....

... I'm not protecting you as a parent but as the previous head. I'm not going to interrupt again." and he walks towards Shou and said: "I'm not letting you die alone, i will be with together in hell....

... For the attack, you've already used up most of your strength and it's very unlike of you. I'm sorry for not loving you. You are my son. You resemble me and Yuri very much."

Shou pushed his father away and said: "There's no need for it. I thought it was alright for me to die in the storeroom, will my stain be able to remain in someone's heart? I will be good if it can....

... that will be sufficient. Thanks to you, it is clear that i live a greedy life and it is clear that the stain which I am soaked will be left throughout my life. I've been treated seriously and that is enough....

.... Father, you think you can use your death to pay for all that i've suffered? I'm not letting you see Mother so easily."

The previous is getting weaker from his injuries and yet he is still unwilling to leave and seek treatment. Fuzen came up and told him that he's only here to stop his bleeding and not taking him away.

Kyou and Shou draw their sword.

Misao's thought "This is what i've done. This is what happened with the choices i made. I am not allowed to not wanting to see it."

Misao sees Shou's fingers turning back again. He's reaching his limit.

The previous previous head stepped out asking Shou to stop. Saying that it's painful to watch and if he's this unsatisfied that he can't be the head. Shou draw his sword toward the previous previous head.

Kyou stepped forward to shield the attack.
Previous previous head: "He's even attacking me? Clean up the mess! Kyou!"
Kyou: "Shut up you noisy old man."
Previous previous head: "What?"
Kyou: "Shou! Stop joking with me. Since just now you have been playing the villain, wanting everyone to hate you as the person who's back for revenge....

... you think that you must kill me in front of everyone right? So as to boost my popularity as a head who defeated the enemy and to make yourself useful as the villain everyone hated. I know what you are planning about. From the beginning till the end, i think you are an unhappy person. I'm not giving it to you not even a fragment. Misao is mine."

Previous previous head: "What are you talking about? Because of Senka who is so pathetic now..."
Kyou: "You are being noisy. It's not because of she is beautiful or she's ugly. It's something i want from the bottom of my heart. For one who has not struggled before, is in no position to laugh.

Previous head: "This is not just a fight between brothers. They know what they are doing and for two who has not exchanged fist before. From the beginning till the end, this is a fight between brothers."

Misao is forcing herself to witness the fight and people starts to realised Shou's hand are changing colour and one of the Tengu notice smoke coming from behind.

Kaede is casting a spell, a spell to bring one back to life.

Shou: "Stop it! I told you to stop it!"
Kaeda: "I will not allow you to take me out at your own accord!"
Other Tengu rushed forward, grabbing her hands and searching for the 'jiyu fu' (some paper, use for casting spell).

Kaeda: "Please live. Don't die! I'm betting on you and i will choose only you."
Zenki: "Kaeda sister.. this is no longer trust nor is it loyalty...

... this is love."

They managed to find the 'jiyu fu' between Kaeda's waist belt however, pulling it out resulting it in the spell to take effect.

Shou: "Why are you standing there looking at me? You know what it takes to kill me? Chop me like i'm a piece of trunk if not i'm going to come back to life again. Alright? Do it well and kill me."

I feel so relief that it's not Kyou's hand but still sad that it's his father's. This chapter is a build up for the next chapter which i believe it to be the real fight between Kyou and Shou.

Actually im not too sure of the translation for this chapter but i think the main idea is still there. So i'm sorry for any possible inaccurate translation. =P

Black Bird - Chapter 51

Misao's narration: "This is betryal".

Shou regains life after sucking Misao's blood.

Misao faints and Shou catches her in his arms.
Shou: "Low blood pressure? Cause you let me drink too much of your blood? It is really effective. I can feel it even from my hair. It is enough for me to be violent. It's all thanks to you, Misao."

Misoa's thoughts "I know what i've just did. He will die if i leave him alone but he said that 'There is something i need to do.' so i...

... i helped him to recover. He's going to fight Kyou now. Shou has become a strong opponent and Kyou might lost even due to a minor injury. I still gave Shou blood when i knew this very well. What i've done is betray. I've betrayed Kyou and nothing else."

There are many crows flying outside the balcony. They are sent by Kyou.

Shou carries Misao and flew off.
Misao: "Put me down! You want to go to where Kyou is? I don't want to go! Can i rest for a little while more? Can't i? No! I don't want to go ! Put me down!"

Misao's thoughts "I've no face to see Kyou."

Misao: "No!!!" and she faints.
Shou: "You've lost conscious?"
Other Tengus: "Chase after him! He's too fast! Where is he heading? He's heading towards the village!"
Shou: "It's alright. Misao, everything would have ended when you open your eyes."

Tengu reporting to Kyou that they've lost track of Shou and that him being unwell seems to be untrue.
Kyou realised that Shou drank Misao's blood and regain his strength.
Kyou felt some strong strength from the village.

Tengu reports that the god of dogs, god of spider and god of thunder had gathered. They might be Shou's followers and waiting for Shou's orders to destroy the village.

Kyou order Zenki and Taro to get ready for battle. He is about to draw his sword but is stop by one of the Tengu asking him to rest more.

Kyou drew his sword: "I've rest enough. I'm going to fight my opponent."

Zenki flying above the village and is shocked to see what is opposite of what they've speculated.

Tengu spotted something flying towards them. A shadow. It's Shou carrying Misao in his hands.

Tengus: "Shou -sama... Hime - sama... What is this? What's with all those blood? What do you plan on doing now?"
Misao regains conscious. Kyou calls out to her: "Misao! Are you alright?"

Kyou: "Damn. Let go of Misao, Shou!" Shou puts Misao down and pushes her towards Kyou. Kyou reaches out to Misao.

Misao backs off from Kyou and cannot stop apologizing and she faints again.

Fuzen and Sagami flew back and reported ...

... about the dead bodies of the God of dogs. The God of dogs are exterminated. Fuzen: "We heard from the God of spiders when they are running away that they are being drawn here by Hime-sama as a bait. However, they've not lay a finger on Hime-sama. It might sound unbelieveal but it seems right for the God of dogs to fight for their innocence."

Misao's thoughts "Such things happened? 'there is something i need to do' is referring to this? To manipulate everyone at his disposal and to battle Kyou? He was not prepared to die!"

Shou: "What is this? I don't understand at all. I merely make those naive people think what they want to and control Misao so as to be able to drink her blood. My speedy recovery is all thanks to her. She is of no use to me now."

Misao is shocked hearing Shou's words.
Kyou: "Ic, this is what happened."

Kyou draws his sword ready to fight Shou. Tengu stopped him: "No Kyou-sama! He's drank the blood. What are you even thinking?"
Kyou: "It's alright. Draw your sword Shou!"

Misao's thoughts "This still happened in the end."
Kyou: "No one should interfere."

Kyou charged towards Shou."

Misao's thoughts "I hope this day will never come. I don't wish to see them, blood related brother, fighting each other. I want to ran away. If i had not given my blood...."

Shou doesn't seems to be in too good of a condition. It might be due to his fight with the God of dogs. However, Kyou is still recovering from his injuries too. It's difficult to win.

Suddenly, Shou gives out some kind of enormous power.

and it seems to have some effect on Misao. (I wonder if Misao is too engross in her own 'fault' or is she affected by the power emitted by Shou.) Which ever the case, it distracted Kyou. (OH NO!)

What is left is Kyou's hand, slashed laying on the ground.

Misao's thoughts "This is the price i need to paid for what i've done."

omg~ Kyou! what happened to Kyou? We need to wait to the next chapter to know... haiz. Isn't Kyou suppose to be stronger than Shou? He embraced Misao while Shou merely drank her blood, though he drank quite a fair bit... but.... it's impossible for Kyou to lose to Shou! He has Misao to protect. I hope to see him fight back soon!
